FACE CARE WITH NATURAL BEAUTY FINDS

Image from homemadefacialcleanser.com)

I can’t thank the lucky stars enough for giving me the gift of having a Make-up Artist as a roommate. She’s done makeup for Vogue Italia, Kohl’s catalog, Mary Kay and various photo shoots. I’ve learned so much from her and of course, the numerous makeup freebees that get sent to our house are a definite plus.

She recently came home with a Neutrogena goodie bag that had bottles of their new Naturals Facial Cleanser (naturals.neutrogena.com/). This new cleanser contains all natural products and it has really made a difference to my skin. After noticing how the natural products made my skin healthier, I went out on a search for other natural products.

My favorite natural product at the moment is the Godefroy’s  Double Lash and Brow (add link to EyesOnBeautyUSA Amazon storefront). This all natural product helps grow your lashes by combining rich plant oils and vitamins to strengthen weak hair follicles. The results are longer, thicker lashes…Naturally. Maybe soon I won’t have to apply two different types of mascara and spend all that time to get my lashes longer and thicker. I won’t even get into how long it takes to take all that mascara off at night.

More natural products to come…. The search is still on.

Have any natural products you are nuts over? Tell me about them in the comments below.

Eyes On Beauty - MASCARA MONEY SAVING TIPS

Don’t throw away that beauty product:

If you are a world trotter or travel often like myself, you know the nightmare that is packing. So imagine you spent all that time packing to open your suitcase in the hotel and find that your eye shadow or powder case was broken. For a long time, I just gave up on those broken make-up products because they were just too messy to use. Don’t throw away your money like I used to. Go to a beauty store like Sephora and ask for a sample jar. Sometimes they give them to me for free. If not, they don’t cost more than $5. Put your broken powder in that sample jar and you’ll avoid spending money buying a new one.

That Mascara is still usable:

I’ve talked about the Godefroy Mascara Warmer in a previous blog and I’m talking about it again because it has become a huge money saver for me. I’ve been using my mascara for a few weeks and it is starting to clump up and dry out. As soon as it clumps up, I warm it with my Godefroy mascara warmer and it’s just as good as new. Cut your mascara budget in half with this product.

Note: Buy $40 of Godefroy Products and receive a free Mascara warmer. A $19.95 value. Ships free with your order. (add link to EyesOnBeautyUSA Amazon storefront)

EYES ON BEAUTY USA O.P.I NAILED IT (Pun intended)

New Beauty magazine awarded O.P.I Nail Lacquer Polish the Best Overall Nail Polish in their Winter/Spring 2012 Edition. The best products are voted on by readers, experts and editors. Pretty high honor for O.P.I and I’m at all surprised it won. It’s very easy-to-apply, colors are super glossy and it lasts longer than most nail polishes.

But that’s not why I love O.P.I.  This spring, there seems to be a nail polish for every style. Are you a rock star? Spring 2012 nail polishes have you covered. Are you more of a romantic, you are covered as well. And that’s why I love O.P.I, its colors are always on trend. If you are looking forward to the loud spring colors, Pedal Faster Suzie! by O.P.I is a great pink tone to compliment the loud colors you’ll be wearing.

After your shopping spree, shop this mini O.P.I spring collection to compliment your new wardrobe. http://www.amazon.com/OPI-Polish-Spring-Holland-Collection/dp/B0071S0QJO. Spring colors include A Roll in The Hague, Dutcha Ya Just Love O.P.I, and Nagellack.

SHELF WORTHY BEAUTY MUST-HAVES

(Image from beauty-boks.com)

We all have our beauty must-haves, those products that have a permanent home on our vanity shelf. The ones that we run out to buy before they run out.  You may want to clear some space on that shelf; these new products may soon have a permanent spot.

Godefroy Mascara Warmer: Did you know warming up Mascara before use gives you well defined lashes and a longer lasting curl. Mascara starts to go on clumpy after just a couple of weeks. Then it’s time to buy a new one. Or go the cheap route and use your blow dryer to warm up the mascara. Well Godefroy has made it easier for us. Their mascara warmer eliminates clumping. It heats up the mascara quickly and can be used with all mascara brands. Try it with your must-have mascara and it’s a partnership made in beauty heaven. Argon Oil: I might dedicate a whole blog to this product. My skin has never looked better! My roommate gave me a bottle of Organic Argon anti-aging oil and it has completely transformed my face. My skin is radiant, flawless and evenly toned. It lightened my scars and blemishes and now my skin looks fresh. This product is definitely going to stay on my shelf for a very long time. It’s also great for hair. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0050RY36K/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001154U1S&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=16RTTVCEBQYZD4RSSW3F

Make Up Tricks to Look like you have No Make Up

(Image from womentrend.net)

Two months ago my friend David invited me to L.A to attend a movie premier. I was taken back by how beautiful and flawless women in L.A looked. Yes, I live in New York City where beautiful models run wild. But unless you’re at The Standard on a Saturday night, the normal look in New York is Iphone headphones and all black. Women in L.A looked colorful, flawless and radiant.
Gone are the days of caked on foundation, raccoon eyes and overdrawn eyebrows. The new make up trend is called the ‘No Makeup’ Makeup. I found the look to be very modernistic, fresh, natural and flawless. Great for that late evening date, or Sunday brunch at Dos Cominos in Meat Packing District.

Easy steps to get the no makeup look
   Gently exfoliate your face.
Use a tinted moisturizer that matches your skin. Pick a deeper tone to warm up your complexion. I prefer the Olay Tinted Moisturizer, it can be found in any drug store and it’s affordable.
Use a concealer to cover up any flaws like breakouts or under eye circles. Bobbi Brown Concealers are great for hiding under eye circles. www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/.../Creamy-Concealer/.../index.tmpl
For oily skin, use a light powder on your face after concealing your flaws. www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com
Choose a Rosy Blush to match your natural flushed cheeks. My favorite at the moment is the Benefit Coralista. http://www.amazon.com/Benefit-Cosmetics-CORALista/dp/B001L1OGWU
Remember no eye liner, just a dab of mascara or a mascara conditioning serum. I use the Godefroy 28 Day Mascara. This is the perfect product to tint your lashes and brows. 28 day mascara contains no hydrogen peroxide or synthetic dyes. It’s FDA complaint. You get 5 application tools for half the price of salon prices. I found it very easy to use and results were instant. I’ve had to wait more than 15 minutes to see results at the salon.  It’s safe, effective and gives you salon results at home for a fraction of the price. GODEFROY EYEBROW LIGHTENING CREAM

I recently dyed my naturally dark hair to a lighter shade just in time for spring. I was also ready for a change.  I wanted my new hair color to look natural so I decided to lighten my eyebrows as well. They were too dark to compliment the new hair color.

To lighten them, I used the Godefroy Eyebrow Lightening Cream.  The lightening cream was easy to use and took only a few minutes. No brassiness. We are all looking for instant gratification and convenience and this product will give you exactly that. (add link to EyesOnBeautyUSA Amazon storefront)

The Brow Obsession (Brosession?)

(Image from rebeccahearts.com)

To say that I am obsessed with eyebrows is an understatement. Maybe not “obsessed” but I can’t leave my house without doing my eyebrows.

I have noticed that I’m giving my eyebrows more attention than ever. The most I used to do with them was line them with an eye pencil. I cringe when I think back to those days.

Nowadays I consider eyebrows a necessary beauty routine. Shaping is must and I spend time coloring in any sparse areas. Coloring the sparse areas helps my eyebrows look thicker and more defined. (Add link to EyesOnBeautyUSA Amazon storefront)

Do you notice the eyebrow trend in the above picture? Thick, dark and arched. Trust me, once you start taking care of your eyebrows, your face will look more polished and more defined.
