Best Brow Shape

The Best Brow Shape for your Face

We could all use a little help in the brow department. Finding and maintaining your best shape can be a challenge. We over tweeze, under tweeze, or just plain tweeze the wrong way. Unless of-course you want to go for the “I just had a facelift” look. Most of us don’t know what to do and sometimes end up with a weird comma thing on top of our eyes. To avoid looking like you just had one-too-many Botox shots, follow these easy steps for the perfect brow that compliments your face and eyes.

Know the shape of your face:

Heart Shaped and Square Faces: Your brow should be light and soft. Use an eye brow tint to soften a dark eye brow. A Heart Shaped face already has angles. A sharp arch will make you look overly serious or permanently mad. A straight, elegant brow with a soft arch will balance those angles out beautifully.
Round Faces: It’s best to keep your brows full with an arch towards the end of the brow. The full brow balances out your round face, while the arch elongates it for an oval illusion.
Oval Face: Oval faces need a high arch, not too high of course, don’t go crazy. Follow your natural shape. Brows should be medium to high for a great facial balance.

All face shapes: The inner edge of the eyebrow should start directly above the nostril (determine this is by holding an eyebrow brush or pencil vertically along the side of your nose, straight up to the brow). To see where your brow should end, hold your pencil diagonally from the middle of your nostril to the outer corner of your eye. Unless have a strong, natural arch, determine the highest point of your arch by placing a pencil from the middle of your nostril to the outside of your iris.
